Prior to each shoot all equipment is thoroughly checked ensuring no last minute issues, also Spares and backups are brought as a standard to all jobs in case the unexpected should happen.
One of the key aspects to recording audio from productions perspective as well as high quality audio is keeping the cost to a minimum in the edit. Saving time in post by eliminating as much unwanted background sound/noise as possible on set will all save time in post. Also adequate track labelling, notes, recording isolated tracks, accurate sound reports and timecode will all help keep the valuable edit time to a minimum.
After each days shoot I back up all recordings (unless instructed otherwise) in case of unforeseen issues. This guarantees an original copy will be accessible for the future should it be required, free of charge.
